How do we do waterproofing?
Anybody can apply the waterproof materials, but PS custom foundations ensure the application is effective. Our system of application includes three core components:
A mixture of tar and blue skin wrap is used under the dimpled membrane
A dimpled membrane curated flexibly to withstand pressure and water
A weeping tile is positioned to contain water for the pump
Looking intently at these components, we firstly apply the waterproofing material. Often, the membrane is solid, but it can also be liquid. At PS custom construction, we only use quality membranes, the blue skin composite membrane. This is one of the best membranes because of its properties.
After applying the quality material, we include a drainage mat layer that serves as a gap for hydrostatic pressure to come up.
Once the pressure has been built up, any deficiency will be easily spotted, and a leak will be automatically created. Therefore, we at PS custom membrane use the only high-quality membrane for the drainage mat, which protects against backfill material.
Finally, we use the weeping tile to the base of the foundation, separating direct contact with the soil. With a good drain installation, water will not stay under the house during the rainy season but will be moved away. The method we use will allow the installed weeping tile to pass the water to the sump pump to eradicate the water.
